NK Gallery is proud to announce the first solo exhibition of Hans Vandekerckhove (1957, BE) at ART4 Museum in Moscow, RU. The exhibition shows works of the past 4 years with a particular focus on the most recent series of paintings. Vandekerckhove combines tranquility with an alienating sense of tension. His work embodies a wealth of contradictions in a unique way, mingling dream and reality, eroticism and innocence, the soberly factual and the deeply enigmatic. An elusive, mysterious and wonderful world lies concealed beneath the deceptive simplicity and outlandish colours.
Opening exhibition of Kirill Chelushkin on 06.09.2018
Join us for the opening celebrations during the exhibition of Kirill Chelushkin (Moscow, 1968) on September 6.
After training as an architect, Kirill Chelushkin devoted himself to illustrations and drawings. In the late 1990s, he made acquaintance with the artist and theorist Dimitry Goutov and his Livchitz Institute. This club for aesthetic and ideological reflection reinterprets the thinking of the Soviet art historian, Michael Livchitz, an ardent defender of socialist realism, and criticises the formalist deviances of modernism. This encounter encouraged Chelushkin to practice an art essentially visual, but more axed on the reality surrounding him. (text: Alice Cazaux)

New gallery location in Antwerp
NK Gallery is delighted to announce that we are moving to a new location at Pourbusstraat 19.
The space already has a strong history in the Antwerp art scene since it used to house the gallery of Geukens & De Vil.
At this new location, NK Gallery hopes to further position itself as a cross-cultural bridge between Belgium and Russia, helping to promote the interaction between artists, collectors, curators and other art professionals from both regions.
